- Shep NBC (mp3) - In the early 1970s, Jean Shepherd did a 90-second daily show for NBC radio. I have not been able to find out anything about the show; how long it ran, how many stations ran it, etc. In NYC, it ran on WNBC during the Imus In The Morning Show. Here's proof the show did exist though, as poorly recorded with a hand held microphone in front of a cheap transistor radio. If anyone knows more about this show, please let me know.
- Don Imus - Early 70s (mp3) - This Don Imus clip is from the same aircheck as the previous Jean Shepherd clip. It's about 3 minutes later in the show. I edited the music out, but left 2 commercials.

- Rick Allison - WPLR - PSYCHEDELIC SUNDAY - 1993 (mp3) - Psychedelic Sunday - Rick Allison has spent many years on the radio, mostly in the Northeast. He also spent several years hosting shows on SIRIUS Disorder and other SIRIUS RADIO channels. He can currently be heard as co-host with James Velvet on a show called Local Bands, Sunday nights on WPLR. Rick can also be heard doing voice-over work and on hundreds of commercials, some of his work can be found on his website www.rjallison.com Also, listen for Ken Nordine, doing one of the commercials. (53.89 MB)
- Alex Bennett introducing Abbey Road (Come Together) (mp3) and Alex Bennett introducing Abbey Road (Here Comes The Sun) (mp3) - These two short clips are air checks of Alex Bennett, introducing the Beatles, Abbey Road, to the world on WMCA in NYC, i believe in late September of 1969. This was recorded with a hand held microphone, held up to a speaker of an AM radio. On top of all that, the tape was later severely damaged by a tape player. So the quality isn't great, but it's history. You can currently hear Alex on Sirius Left 146 from 9 till noon Eastern. You can find more, and better audio clips of Alex at his website www.radiofreejack.com (376KB and 580KB)
